My grandma's sugar cookies!! Ingredients:
1 cup crisco shortening |
1 cup sugar |
2 large eggs |
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla |
3 1/2 cups flour |
2 teaspoons baking powder |
1 1/2 teaspoons salt |
Directions:
1. Cream Crisco and sugar. 2. Add eggs and vanilla. 3. Mix in dry ingredients. 4. Touch dough with your finger. If any dough sticks to your finger, add flour a little at a time until when you touch the dough, none comes off on your finger. 5. On a lightly floured linen towel, roll out dough to between 1/8 and 1/4-inch thick. 6. bake at 350° for 8-10 minutes or until edges of cookies BEGIN to turn golden brown. 7. Let cool on cookie sheet. 8. Decorate as desired. |
