I grew up with this recipe, I could literally live off these light, fluffy, delicious waffles. Ingredients:
2 cups flour |
3 teaspoons baking powder |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
3 eggs, seperated |
1 3/4 cups milk |
4 tablespoons butter, melted |
4 tablespoons sugar |
Directions:
1. Combine flour, baking powder, salt. 2. In a separate bowl beat egg YOLKS and then add milk and butter. 3. Combine dry mixture with egg+milk+butter mixture. Beat until smooth. 4. Beat egg whites until stiff, but not dry.Slowly add sugar, beating constantly. 5. Mix 1/3 of beaten whites with batter then fold remaining whites in carefully. 6. Pour around 3/4 cup of batter in waffle iron. |
