This is an old recipe from my Grandmothers recipe collection it is a very sweet pie. Ingredients:
6 large eggs, beaten |
3/4 cup lt molasses |
1/4 cup hot water |
1 9 inch unbaked pie shell |
1/2 cup graham cracker crumbs |
1/4 cup all-purpose flour |
1 tsp cinnamon |
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg |
1/8 tsp ground ginger |
4 tbsp butter |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees 2. Combine beaten eggs,molassesand hot water in med bowl. Mix well.Spoon into pie crust. 3. Combine graham cracker crumbs,flour,cinnamon,nutmeg and ginger in a med bowl. Mix well. Cut in butter til mixture is crumbly. 4. Sprinkle the crumb mixture evenly over egg mixture. 5. Bake until lt brown about 10 min. Reduce oven heat to 325 degrees. Bake about 25 min. Transfer to a wire rack to cool. Serve at room temp. |
