This really yummy cereal-like mix of nuts and grains is a great, super-healthy snack/dessert any time of day. (Sorry if anything here is unclear, I'm translating this from my grandma, who's Swedish).
Ingredients:
2 cups rye meal
2 cups oats
3 1/2 ounces chopped almonds
3/4 cup sunflower seeds
1/2 cup coconut flakes
1/2 cup flax seed
1/2 cup brown sugar
5 tablespoons cooking oil
Directions:
1. Mix the water with the oil.
2. Set the oven to 400°F.
3. Mix everything else in a baking pan, splash/spray water over everything.
4. Press with fingers so that the moisture is evenly dispersed.
5. Put in the oven for 20-30 minutes, taking it out 3 to 4 times to stir around.
