This really yummy cereal-like mix of nuts and grains is a great, super-healthy snack/dessert any time of day. (Sorry if anything here is unclear, I'm translating this from my grandma, who's Swedish). Ingredients:
2 cups rye meal |
2 cups oats |
3 1/2 ounces chopped almonds |
3/4 cup sunflower seeds |
1/2 cup coconut flakes |
1/2 cup flax seed |
1/2 cup brown sugar |
5 tablespoons cooking oil |
Directions:
1. Mix the water with the oil. 2. Set the oven to 400°F. 3. Mix everything else in a baking pan, splash/spray water over everything. 4. Press with fingers so that the moisture is evenly dispersed. 5. Put in the oven for 20-30 minutes, taking it out 3 to 4 times to stir around. |
