Grandmas Lemon Buttermilk Pie

Ingredients:
ingredients
refrigerated pie crust or pastry for single pie crust
1 1/2 cups buttermilk
1 1/4 cups sugar
6 tbsp. butter, melted
2 tbsp. flour
1 tsp. lemon extract
1/8 tsp. salt
3 eggs
4 very thin slices lemon, cut in half and
seeds removed
2 cups blackberries (optional)
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
2. Place pie crust into a
3. 9-inch pie dish, turn under excess dough and
4. flute edge (if pastry).
5. In a medium bowl, whisk
6. together all remaining ingredients except lemon
7. slices and blackberries.
8. Pour into prepared crust
9. and bake for 25 minutes.
10. Place lemon halves
11. around the outside edges of the pie and bake
12. for another 15 to 20 minutes.
13. Cool completely
14. before serving. Serve with blackberries, if
15. desired.
