Right from scratch Ingredients:
1 3/4 cups rolled oats |
1 1/2 cups flour |
1 cup brown sugar |
3/4 cup butter |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1/2 lb dates (chopped fine) |
1 cup white sugar |
1 cup water |
Directions:
1. Mix: oats, flour, brown sugar, butter, baking soda and salt then press on bottom of 8x8 pan. 2. Boil: dates, sugar and water until thick. 3. Bake 20-30 minutes in 375 F oven. 4. Cool before serving. |
