This is a take on a recipe my grandmother used to make. I have changed some ingredients and added my own to make it better. Ingredients:
20 ounces spinach |
2 cups sour cream |
2 teaspoons garlic salt |
2 teaspoons pepper |
2 (1 ounce) envelopes onion soup mix |
1 cup colby-monterey jack cheese |
2 cups corn flakes, crushed |
4 tablespoons butter, melted |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 2. If using frozen Spinach, thaw and drain well. If using fresh, rinse, chop and drain well. 3. Grease a 1 quart covered casserole. 4. In a large bowl, combine all ingredients, except corn flakes. 5. Pour into casserole. 6. Melt butter and mix with crushed corn flakes. 7. Put corn flakes on top, cover and bake for 35-45 minutes. |
