Grandma's Coconut Custard Pie

This was my grandma's recipe and a favorite at holiday meals.
Ingredients:
4 eggs, slightly beaten
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup sugar
3 cups milk, scalded
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 cup flaked coconut
1 flaky pastry crust (aunt nancy's)
Directions:
1. Combine eggs, salt and sugar.
2. Add milk and vanilla slowly.
3. Line pie pan with prepared pastry and pour in filling.
4. Sprinkle with nutmeg and coconut.
5. Bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes, then reduce heat to 325 degrees and bake 30-40 minutes or until knife inserted in center of pie comes out clean.
