This has been my family's homemade shrimp cocktail sauce since my Grandmother was a girl. I've always had it fairly hot and spicy, but play around with the measurements and make your own. Ingredients:
1 cup ketchup |
1 tablespoon lemon juice |
1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce |
hot sauce, to taste (crystal or louisiana, never, ever tobasco) |
course horseradish, to taste (not prepared) |
Directions:
1. The directions from my Grandma are as follows:. 2. Mostly ketsup (about 1 cup). Add lemon juice and worcester sauce in about equal amounts (about 1 tbsp each). Then add hot sauce and horseradish - fairly small amount of hotsauce, fairly large amount of horseradish. |
