Perfect comfort food that my grandma made all winter long Ingredients:
12 cups chicken broth |
2 cups cubed cooked chicken |
6 eggs |
3 cups flour |
1/8 teaspoon salt |
1/8 teaspoon pepper |
Directions:
1. Start broth and chicken on medium on the stove in a large pot. In a large bowl mix the eggs and flour to a dough consistency add flour if too wet and water if too dry. With a rolling pin roll the dough out to 1/4 inch thick and then roll it up jelly style. Cut noodles approx every 1/2 inch and drop in broth unrolling as you go. Cook until noodles are cooked through, usually 20 to 30 minutes. Add salt and pepper to taste. If you like you can add carrots and celery, my family prefers it without. |
