This is my grandma's recipe for stuffing and it is truly the best I've ever had. I should know, I'm a stuffing addict. My brothers and I fight over this at Thanksgiving. Ingredients:
3/4 c. butter |
2 1/2 c. diced celery |
1 c. chopped onions |
2 t. poultry seasoning |
1 t. salt |
1 t. pepper |
10 c. toasted bread cubes |
1 egg, beaten |
1/4 c. warm water |
Directions:
1. Melt butter in large skillet. 2. Add celery and onions. 3. Cook 4 minutes on med-low or until tender. 4. Add bread cubes along with the rest of the ingredients. 5. Mix thoroughly. 6. Either stuff into turkey or if baking cook in a casserole dish, tightly covered for 30-45 minutes. |
