2 cups flour |
1 tablespoon cocoa |
1/2 cup butter |
1/2 cup crisco |
1/2 cup sour cream |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
2 cups sugar |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 cup water |
2 eggs, beaten |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
1/4 cup butter |
2 -3 tablespoons milk |
4 tablespoons cocoa |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
1 3/4 cups confectioners' sugar |
Directions:
1. Brownies:. 2. Preheat oven to 400°F. 3. Mix flour, sugar, cocoa, salt. 4. Bring oleo, water, and Crisco to a boil. 5. Combine hot ingredients with flour mixture. 6. Add eggs, sour cream, baking soda, vanilla. 7. Pour into 15x10-inch pan. 8. Bake in 400°F oven for about 20 minutes. 9. Frosting:. 10. Once brownies are mostly cooled, boil oleo, milk, and cocoa. 11. Add powdered sugar and vanilla. Beat in with a whisk. 12. Spread carefully over brownies. |
