This is an old time winning recipe for any picnic. Great served with turkey or chicken drumsticks or juice meatloaf slices. If you wish, the salad can be made the night before serving. Deliciossso!!! Ingredients:
2 cups red cabbage, finely shredded |
1 cup green cabbage, fienly shredded |
1 small onion, finely chopped |
2 cups tart apples, finely shredded |
1 tablespoon horseradish |
1/3 cup honey |
1/3 cup wine, viengar white |
3/4 cup salad oil |
1 dash salt |
1 dash fresh ground black pepper |
Directions:
1. Put cabbage, onion and apple into large salad bowl. Toss lightly. Add horseradish. 2. For dressing, combine honey, vinegar, oil and spices in screw top jar. Shake until honey is dissolved. 3. Pour dressing over cabbage mixtrue, tossing to blend well. 4. Cover and refrigerate at least 1 hour before serving for flavors to blend. Toss gently before serving. |
