I raised 9 kids and fostered 1 and they all will come and ask for biscuits. It is far cheaper than light bread and goes much better with gravy. It was originally a pour and dip instead of a recipe but my grandchildren wanted to know how to make them so I paid more attention to amounts.
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons cooking oil
1/2 cup milk
Directions:
1. Sift dry ingredients together, move to edges of bowl to make hole in center. Pour milk in hole and add oil. Mix, pulling flour gradually into liquid until well mixed. Turn onto lightly floured board and pinch into 6 biscuits. Do not preheat oven as it heats, biscuits rise. Bake to desired brown. 350 degrees F.
2. Ovens vary so cooking time may vary.
