These are a really nice fruit scone. I always double the mix cause they are so popular in my house. Ingredients:
45 g butter |
1 1/2 tablespoons sugar |
1 egg |
1 pinch salt |
2 cups self-raising flour |
1/2 cup milk |
1/2 cup sultana |
Directions:
1. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. 2. Add beaten egg and salt. 3. Add sifted flour and milk alternately, mix to a soft dough, add sultanas. 4. Turn on to lightly-floured surface, knead slightly. 5. Roll out to 2 cm thickness, cut with round scone cutter. 6. Put scones on greased oven tray, bake in hot oven (230 C) 7 to 10 minutes. |
