This is a favorite of my late grandma's recipes. She passed away a year ago October 27 and I am just now able to look at her cookbooks and make what I call my memory food. This is a very simple cake and is delicious iced or not. Enjoy! Ingredients:
1/4 cup margarine or 1/4 cup butter |
1 cup white sugar |
1 egg |
1 cup flour |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
1 teaspoon baking powder |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
2 cups thinly sliced apples |
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon |
Directions:
1. Cream together first 3 ingredients. 2. Combine next 4 ingredients and add to creamed mixture. 3. Mix until blended and add apples and cinnamon. 4. Put into greased 8 pan. 5. Bake at 350 degrees for about 40 minutes. |
