Grandma Ruth's Strawberry Cake Icing |

This is a homemade strawberry icing that is wonderful. This is not a creamy frosting, but more of a strawberry sugar glaze. Pour this over a hot cake and let cool till a slight crust forms where the sugar has begun to dry. Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter |
1 (16 ounce) box powdered sugar |
1 (10 ounce) package strawberries, drained and chopped |
1/2 cup coconut |
1/2 cup pecans, chopped |
Directions:
1. Melt butter and mix with powdered sugar. Stil until sugar is completely dissolved. 2. Add the Strawberries, pecans, and coconut and mix well. 3. Pour over cake while warm, let cool and enjoy! |
