Adapted from my grandma's chili recipe, which is the best chili ever! She cooks it for hours on the stovetop, but I'm using my Crock Pot for this one. Serving size is one heaping cup Ingredients:
0.78 lb sirloin, ground |
68 g onion (1/2 small onion), finely chopped |
130 g green bell pepper (one small pepper), finely chopped |
75 g celery (1.5 medium stalks), chopped |
28 oz crushed tomato (canned) |
3 1/2 c pinto beans, canned, drained and rinsed |
6 oz tomato paste |
10 oz ro*tell chiles and tomatoes |
1 1/4 oz chili seasoning package |
1 c water |
1/4 tsp oregano |
1/4 tsp basil |
1/4 tsp chili powder |
1 clove garlic, finely chopped |
Directions:
1. Brown beef in pan 2. Combine all ingredients in Crock Pot 3. Cook on low setting for 6-8 hours 4. Serve with some FF cheese and/or FF sour cream on top! |
