recipe from my grandma gus in chicago... very good Ingredients:
2 lbs ground beef |
24 ounces ketchup (or larger, rinse out bottle) |
1 large onion |
1/2 cup water |
1/2 cup pickle relish |
salt and pepper (to taste) |
3 tablespoons sugar |
3 tablespoons worcestershire sauce |
3 tablespoons water |
3 tablespoons vinegar |
Directions:
1. brown meat. 2. add ketchup, onion, water, relish, salt, and pepper to meat. 3. in a separate bowl, mix together sugar, worchestershire, water and vinegar. 4. add to meat mixture. 5. simmer for 1 hour. |
