Got this recipe from my mom. It's a super awesome pound cake with a thick and crunchy crust. Grandma used to make this for special occasions. :) Ingredients:
2 cups sugar |
1 cup shortening |
6 large eggs |
2 cups flour |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
Directions:
1. Cream sugar & shortening. 2. Beat in eggs, one at at a time. 3. Fold in flour on low. 4. Add vanilla. 5. Bake 1 1/4 hrs at 325 F in a tube pan. |
