Grandma Deana's Mashed Potato Casserole |

My mom makes this a lot and it seems like it gets better each time. So delicious. Mashed potatoes are good anyway but these are extra special. This can also be prepared up to a couple of days ahead of time and then put in oven when needed. Ingredients:
2 1/2 lbs potatoes |
1/2 cup miracle whip |
8 ounces cream cheese |
1 teaspoon onion powder (or 1/2 teaspoon onion powder and 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder) |
3/4 teaspoon salt |
1/4 teaspoon pepper |
paprika |
Directions:
1. Pre-heat oven to 350º. 2. Boil peeled potatoes in large pot of boiling water for 20 minutes. 3. Mash with potato masher. 4. Stir in salad dressing, cream cheese, onion powder, salt and pepper. 5. Mix until light and fluffy. 6. Spoon in 1/2 quart casserole. 7. Sprinkle with paprika. 8. Bake at 350º for 45 minutes. |
