Grandma Cooks Cranberry Salad |

A recipe from an old cedar recipe box that has been in my family for several decades. This is a side we traditionally had at Thanksgiving. Ingredients:
1 lb. cranberries |
1 1/2 cup sugar |
1 lb. grapes |
1/2 lb. small marshmallows |
1 cup chopped walnuts ( nut meats as grandma put it) |
1/2 pint whipping cream (or 1 small tub of cool whip) |
Directions:
1. chop cranberries in food processor 2. mix cranberries and sugar 3. let stand for apx. 1 hour 4. cut grapes in half, and add to mixture 5. add nuts 6. let stand overnight 7. when ready to serve, whip whipping cream and fold it into mixture |
