This came from my MIL and Betty Crocker. Ingredients:
3/4 cup shortening |
1 cup sugar |
1 egg |
1/4 cup molasses or 1/2 cup brown sugar |
2 cups flour |
2 teaspoons baking soda |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon cinnamon |
3/4 teaspoon clove |
3/4 teaspoon ginger |
Directions:
1. Cream together sugar, egg, shortening, and molasses. 2. Mix together dry ingredients. Add to sugar ingredients. Mix well. 3. Drop by teaspoonful on greases cookie sheet. 4. Bake at 350° for 8-10 minutes or until done. |
