Grandma B's Cranberry Salad |

This recipe has been passed down from my great-great grandmother. Now I am worried that it will be lost so I want to post it so that it is always save. I have searched for a recipe similar to this one with no luck Ingredients:
2 (3 ounce) boxes raspberry jell-o gelatin, you can use any red, but raspberry is the best |
1 lb cranberries, chopped |
4 cups sugar |
1 (20 ounce) can crushed pineapple, drained juice reserved |
4 cups boiling water |
1 1/2 cups pecans, chopped |
Directions:
1. Use the reserved pineapple juice to make the 4 cups of water. 2. Combine sugar, cranberries, pineapples and nuts in a large bowl. 3. In a smaller bowl mix Jello with hot water/Juice till Jello is dissolved. 4. Combine both the cranberries and Jello. 5. Chill till firm. |
