Makes a great snack or holiday gift! Ingredients:
2 tablespoons brown sugar |
3/4 cup sugar, plus |
2 tablespoons sugar |
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon |
1/4 teaspoon clove |
1/8 teaspoon salt |
1/2 cup water |
1 tablespoon white karo |
1 tablespoon butter |
2 cups pecan halves |
Directions:
1. In pot mix together sugars, spices, water and Karo syrup. 2. Heat on medium-low to soft ball stage (236 degrees) Add butter and pecan halves and cook 1 minute longer. 3. Remove from heat. 4. Stir until mixture loses its shininess. 5. Pour onto waxed paper before mixture becomes sugary. 6. With 2 forks separate the pecan halves while still warm. 7. Cool. 8. Enjoy! 9. Makes a great gift! |
