My mom has been making this stuffing forever. Everyone comes to thanksgiving just for her stuffing, I think! That is all everyone says are we having MOM's STuffing? 1 dozen of good philly italian rolls, meaning they need to be long italian crunchy rolls. cubed and place in a large bowl |
milk |
3 eggs |
saute in skillet |
1 pound of bacon, scoop out when fried leaving the fat,. |
add to the fat |
2 large onions cut up fine |
celery, only the hearts inside from one celery should be enough, cut fine add to fat along with onion |
(opional, after onion and celery is soft add and chop in gizzards) |
Directions:
1. Pour some milk over the bread. Moisten it do not soak it. 2. Add the eggs, beaten up a bit 3. add the bacon 4. add all from the skillet 5. add good amount of salt 6. pepper 7. and poutry seasoning a good amount 8. Sorry gang we still stuff our bird. I guess you can bake this in a pan adding butter to the top while baking or some stock. |
