Grampa Dave's Texas Chainsaw Barbecue Sauce |

A tangy and sweet barbecue sauce that is absolutely perfect for ribs, pulled pork or chicken. It's the result of trial and error over several years and many batches of sauce. I'm sure 99% of you will like it (or LOVE it)! Ingredients:
2 tablespoons butter |
1 medium onion, finely chopped |
2 garlic cloves, minced |
1/2 cup orange juice |
1 cup cider vinegar |
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice |
2 lemon slices |
1 cup maple syrup |
1/4 cup worcestershire sauce |
2 cups ketchup |
1/4 cup molasses |
1/4 cup brown sugar |
2 tablespoons dry mustard |
1 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes |
1/2 teaspoon cumin |
1/2 teaspoon paprika |
Directions:
1. Melt butter in a 2 quart sauce pan. Add onion and garlic and cook 6 or 7 minutes until soft. Add remaining ingredients and simmer 45 minutes to one hour. |
