Traditional pumpkin pie passed down from generation to generation. It is important to use a Green Striped Cushaw Pumpkin and King Syrup. Ingredients:
2 cups pumpkin |
1 cup sugar |
1 cup golden syrup |
1 teaspoon salt |
5 tablespoons flour |
5 eggs, beaten |
5 cups milk |
Directions:
1. To prepare pumpkin remove skin and boil until soft. 2. Strain for several hours to remove as much water as possible. 3. Can be frozen for later use. 4. Mix all ingredients and pour into pie shells. 5. Top with Cinnamon, Nutmeg and Allspice. 6. Bake at 325-350 Degrees 45-55 Minutes. |
