This dates back before my grandmother. This is the only homemade ice cream sauce I knew about until I discovered my niece's five years ago. But, this one that I am posting now, is easy, has only three ingredients, and is not too much on the sweet side, but on the chocolate side, and is thinner in consistency. It is really good on vanilla ice cream. It is worth a try from the thick, sweet sauces. Ingredients:
1/2 cup sugar |
1/2 cup milk |
2 tablespoons cocoa |
Directions:
1. Put the three ingredients in a saucepan. Bring it to a semi-boil. 2. Cook over medium heat till it thickens-about 10-15 minutes or so. |
