My grandson was over for a snowday today and wanted the Monkey Bread (I forgot about this one) I got the recipe from a friend years ago, it is really yummy and smells so good baking. Ingredients:
3 can of inexpensive refrigerated biscuits |
1/2 cup of sugar |
1/2 cup of packed brown sugar |
2 tsp. of cinnamon |
1/2 cup melted butter |
1/2 cup chopped pecans or wallnuts (optional) |
Directions:
1. Cut each of the 10 biscuits per container into quarters 2. Put sugar, brown sugar and cinnamon into a re-sealable plastic bag. 3. Add biscuit pieces, seal and shake until coated. 4. Using a nonstick Bundt pan or angel food cake pan, or one coated with nonstick cooking spray, I sprinkle in 1/2 cup of chopped pecans or wallnuts if using. 5. Add the biscuit pieces in layers. 6. Last, I sprinkle the remaining sugar mixture from the bag over the pieces and pour 1/2 cup melted butter over the biscuits. 7. Bake at 350* for 30 minutes or until done. |
