Gramma's Hot and Spicy Nacho Dip |

My mother-in-law is an excellent cook. She serves this at family gatherings; it's a hit with everyone who likes hot dip with a bit of fire. This recipe freezes well. I have made it successfully in the crockpot, using pre-cooked burger crumbles. Ingredients:
2 lbs velveeta cheese |
2 (10 ounce) cans rotel tomatoes |
3 lbs hamburger |
1 1/4 ounces taco seasoning |
Directions:
1. Dice cheese into 1 inch cubes. 2. Melt cheese with Rotel tomatoes in Dutch Oven. 3. Simmer 1/2 hour. 4. Brown hamburger and mince very small. 5. Drain.(I drain in a colander.). 6. Add 1 cup water and package of taco seasoning. 7. Simmer 1/2 hour. 8. Add hamburger mix to cheese mix and simmer 1 hour, stirring occasionally. 9. Serve with Doritos or tortilla chips. |
