Gramma's Cabbage Salad

My Grandmother sent me this recipe, another one that she highly recommends. She says this is great for parties, pinics or anything because it keeps well in the fridge!
Ingredients:
8 cups shredded cabbage
2 medium chopped onions
2 chopped green peppers
1 cup vinegar
1 cup white sugar
2 teaspoons celery salt
2 teaspoons mustard seeds
1 teaspoon turmeric
Directions:
1. Combine veggies in a bowl.
2. Combine remaining ingredients in sauce pan over medium high heat and bring to a boil.
3. Pour over veggies, mix, and place in air tight container over night.
4. Mix well from bottom before serving.
