Gram’s Secret 24 Hour Potatoes |

These potatoes are a family staple for the holidays. It is my grandma's secret recipe. Be warned, once your guests try them you will be forced to bring them to every family gathering. These are some delicious potatoes. Ingredients:
7 -8 medium red potatoes, peeled |
1/2 cup onion, chopped |
3/4 cup milk |
2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded |
8 ounces sour cream |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon dry mustard |

Directions:
1. Par boil peeled potatoes for 5 minutes. Do not let potatoes get cooked all the way through, potatoes should remain firm. 2. Grate potatoes into shreds with box grater. 3. In a large bowl mix potatoes, milk, onion, cheese, sour cream, salt, pepper and dry mustard. 4. Pour mixture in to a 9 x 13 glass baking dish. Cover and refrigerate overnight. 5. Remove dish from refrigerator 1 hour before baking. 6. Bake at 350 for 45-50 minutes or until top becomes golden brown. |
