I got this recipe years ago from a friend in Northern Idaho. I made them so much I can barely read the recipe card! Ingredients:
18 or so whole graham crackers |
1 cup melted butter |
1 cup white sugar |
1/2 cup milk |
1 egg, beaten |
1 cup coconut |
1 cup walnuts |
1 cup graham cracker crumbs |
frosting |
1/2 cup butter |
2 cups powdered sugar |
1 tsp. vanilla |
cream as needed |
Directions:
1. Place layer of whole graham crackers in a large flat baking pan. 2. Mix together butter,sugar,milk and egg in a saucepan. 3. Bring to a boil. 4. Remove from stove and add coconut, nuts and graham cracker crumbs. 5. Spread mixture in pan over the whole graham crackers. 6. Add another layer of whole graham crackers on the top of the mixture. 7. Top with frosting. 8. Chill 9. Keep cookies in refriegerator at all times. |
