This is my grandmother's recipe, from her MOMS (Mothers of Methodists) Cookbook, circa 1948. In high school the girls in my dorm requested these every time I went home for the weekend. Ingredients:
40 graham crackers (single), crushed |
2 cans (12 oz, i think) condensed milk |
1 package semisweet chocolate bits |
1 cup chopped walnuts (optional) |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 375ยบ 2. Mix crushed graham crackers, condensed milk, and chocolate bits. 3. Spread mixture into a greased 8x8 pan. 4. Bake for 25-30 minutes. 5. These are best eaten WARM! |
