Another use for leftover Green Chile. This is a favorite of mine from a gourmet burger restaurant where I worked years ago. The green chile is the key ingredient, and everyone likes their's a little different, so what you use is up to you. I always make my green chile in huge batches then freeze. Ingredients:
1 hamburger patty |
1/4 cup pepper jack cheese |
1/2 cup green chile |
1 bun |
Directions:
1. Cook the burger your favorite way - on the grill, stove-top, or oven. Season as desired, but do not use anything with a very strong flavor. Toast the bun. 2. Smother your burger with a lot of green chile* and then the cheese. These are meant to be eaten with knife and fork. 3. *Use leftovers of your favorite green chile - there are a million recipes on here for it and everyone likes theirs a little different, so that part is up to you. |
