This recipe came with a bone cookie cutter. (Essential for owners of spoled rotten dogs!) The dough was easy to handle, and our dog loved them. Ingredients:
2 1/2 cups whole wheat flour |
1/2 cup powdered milk |
1 teaspoon garlic powder |
1 tablespoon wheat germ |
1 teaspoon beef bouillon granules |
6 tablespoons bacon grease or 6 tablespoons meat drippings |
1 egg |
1/2 cup ice water |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 2. Combine all dry ingredients. 3. Cut in drippings. 4. Mix in egg. 5. Add enough ice water for mixture to form a ball. 6. Pat out to 1/2 thick. 7. Cut out. 8. Bake 25-30 minutes. 9. Cool. 10. Woof, woof! |
