I love Gouda cheese ... and these look so good... you can make them ahead of time to have when friends drop in... or for snacking... the recipe and photo are courtesy of Betty Crocker Ingredients:
1 tub (8 ounces) soft cream cheese |
2 cups shredded gouda or colby cheese (8 ounces) |
1/4 cup chopped fresh chives |
1/4 cup sliced drained sun-dried tomatoes in oil |
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder |
1/4 cup finely chopped fresh parsley |
assorted crackers |
Directions:
1. Mix cream cheese and Gouda cheese until blended. Stir in chives, tomatoes and garlic powder. 2. Shape mixture into 2 small logs or 1 large ball. 3. Roll in parsley 4. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate at least 2 hours until firm 5. Serve with crackers. 6. ++++++++ 7. Special Touch 8. Roll the cheese logs in 3/4 cup chopped pecans instead of the parsley 9. +++++++++ 10. Do-Ahead 11. These tasty cheese logs can be made ahead and stored in the refrigerator up to 2 weeks |
