My husband always had a sweet old lady make this for him and well I got stuck with the job to make it for his birthday every year. If you like rubarb you will love this. Ingredients:
3 cups gooseberries (i use canned just rinse them) |
1/2 cup flour |
1 1/2 cup sugar (splenda works too!) |
1/2 cup butter |
pie crust ( i cheat and buy one) |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 375 2. Slightly cook berries in pan on stove.(if fresh if not skip this step) 3. Mix sugar and flour. 4. Cool berries a bid and then add dry mixture. 5. Pour into pie crust 6. Dab with butter 7. Bake 45 minutes 8. Awesome with vanilla ice cream |
