From Family Circle, a chcolate lovers dream come true Ingredients:
2 cups chocolate wafer crumbs ( about 38 wafers ) |
1/3 cup butter melted |
30 vanilla caramels |
1/2 cup caramel ice cream topping |
1/2 cup whipping cream |
2 cups chopped pecans, toasted |
3/4 cup semi sweet chocolate pieces |
pecan halves |
Directions:
1. Stir together melted butter and wafer crumbs 2. press into a 9 inch springform pan 3. Bake in a preheated 350F oven for 10 minutes 4. Cool slightly 5. Melt caramels in caramel topping in a saucepan 6. Stir often and stir in 1/4 cup cream 7. Remove from heat, stir in pecans 8. Spread over crust 9. Chill for one hour 10. For topping: 11. Melt chocolate over low heat. 12. Remove from heat 13. Stir in 1/4 cup cream. 14. Drizzle over the pecan mixture 15. Cover and chill 1 hour 16. Garnish with additional pecans halves if desired |
