From Darlene Kossman. It's very old-she says it's very good. Ingredients:
3/4 cup sugar |
1/2 cup milk |
1 tablespoon butter |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
1 cup flour |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon baking powder |
1 1/2 tablespoons cocoa |
1 cup nuts |
1/2 cup brown sugar |
1/2 cup sugar |
1/4 cup cocoa |
1 1/4 cups boiling water |
Directions:
1. Cream sugar and butter put all ingredients in bowl mix with milk. 2. Pour in 9 inch baking pan. 3. Sprinkle with nuts. 4. In bowl mix brown sugar and sugar and cocoa; mix well. 5. Sprinkle on cake batter. 6. Pour boiling water on top of cake. 7. Bake about 40 minutes at 350°F. |
