I got this recipe from a Tried and True recipe board, and tweaked it until I got it right. Tastes much like the salsa you get at the Mexican places around my area. Ingredients:
8 -10 slices jalapenos, remove seeds |
4 -5 green onions, chopped |
3 -5 garlic cloves |
12 sprigs with leaves cilantro |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
2 (32 ounce) cans peeled tomatoes, drained |
1 (32 ounce) can tomato puree |
Directions:
1. Blend first 6 ingredients together in food processor to desired consistency, taste for salt/seasoning. Add pureed tomatoes and stir. Refrigerate. This is of course, better the next day. |
