This is my moms bean salad. It does need to marinate for a good 6-8 hours... Ingredients:
14 oz can red kidney beans, drained |
14 oz can french long cut beans, drained |
1 green pepper, chopped |
1 small onion, chopped |
1/2 cup white sugar |
1/2 cup olive oil |
1/4 cup vinegar ( more to taste) |
salt and pepper to taste |
Directions:
1. Mix all ingredients in a large bowl and mix well 2. Put in fridge for 6-8 hours. This is a step you must do 3. after about 3-4 hours give it a good stir 4. before serving drain the bean salad in a colander |
