My little dog who is very fussy loves these homemade cookies, although the recipe calls for 2-3 tbsp brown sugar you could always add a wee bit more if desired. These make a wonderful Christmas present for doggies, purchase a cheap doggie bowl, fill with baked dog cookies then wrap in coloured paper, I have given these out many times at the holidays to friends that have dogs, oh and my two kittys love them too ;-) Ingredients:
2 1/2 cups whole wheat flour (more if needed) |
3/4 cup nonfat dry milk powder |
1 egg |
1/2 cup oil |
2 beef bouillon cubes, which have been dissolved in |
3/4 cup boiling water |
2 -3 tablespoons brown sugar |
Directions:
1. Set oven to 300 degrees. 2. In a bowl, combine all ingredients. 3. Stir until well blended. 4. Knead dough for about 1 minute. 5. On a floured surface, roll out dough to 1/4 thickness. 6. Cut out into bone shapes. 7. Place on a greased cookie sheet. 8. Bake for 30 minutes. 9. Cool before storing in a container. |
