This dip is good-eatin', folks! And it's so easy, too! It is said that this recipe was created in Oklahoma by some ladies who wanted to showcase their hot pepper jelly. They have truly come up with a winner! Use any hot pepper jelly including your own if you're into making it. Otherwise you'll find it on the jelly aisle. Serve this with wheat crackers like wheat thins or club crackers. Note that this dip should be made a day ahead. Recipe shared by Kelly Ogle for the Ogle family on channel News9 in Oklahoma.. Note that cooking time is chillling time. Ingredients:
1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded (sharp cheese suggested) |
1 cup pecans, chopped |
1/2-1 cup green onion, chopped |
1/4-1/2 cup mayonnaise |
1/4-1/2 cup hot pepper jelly |
Directions:
1. Combine cheese, pecans, green onion, and mayonnaise. Pack into a shallow serving dish. Refrigerate overnight. 2. When ready to serve, cover the dip with hot pepper jelly. |
