This dish is one that I had created in the spur of the moment. It is very good and is soooo delish....best served with dumplings or small toasted egg noodles. Enjoy this is another recipe that I do not measure stuff. Read more ...just eyeball it. Ingredients:
6-8 chicken thighs ( skinned and de-fatted ) |
1 1/2 large onion ( sliced and then quartered ) |
canola oil |
paprika sweet |
vegeta |
salt |
garlic powder |
1 package fresh mushrooms ( washed and quartered ) |
sour cream |
Directions:
1. wash chicken and take off skin and fat 2. in a cooking pot add some oil and add onions to brown slightly. 3. take off heat and add paprika...I use about 2 tablespoons. 4. stir well and put back on medium heat and add chicken thighs. 5. brown a bit and then add enough water to just cover chicken pieces. 6. turn heat to low and let simmer for about 1 1/2 hrs. stirring frequently. 7. add mushrooms 1/2 hour before done and let simmer til done. 8. you can add sourcream to individual plates and stir. 9. serve with dumplings or small toasted egg noodles and a side of my cucumber salad. 10. enjoy |
