Recipe from Diane Mott Davidson's culinary mystery Catering to Nobody. Ingredients:
1/2 cup honey |
8 tablespoons butter |
1/2 cup sugar |
1 egg |
2 cups flour |
2 teaspoons baking soda |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon ground ginger |
1 teaspoon cinnamon |
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves |
Directions:
1. Set oven temp to 375°F 2. Cream honey, butter, sugar and egg. 3. Sift together and the flour, soda, salt, and spices. 4. Chill one hour. 5. Roll level tablespoons of dough into balls and place 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheet. 6. Bake 10 to 12 minutes. |
