Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter |
1 cup sugar |
8 pieces saffron |
2 eggs |
1 teaspoon vanilla extract |
2 1/2 cups sifted cake flour |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1 tablespoon baking powder |
1 cup milk |
Directions:
1. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Finely crush saffron and add to butter. 2. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. 3. Stir in vanilla. Sift dry ingredients and add to butter mixture alternately with milk. 4. Pour batter into two greased and floured 8 inch cake pans. 5. Bake at 375 for 25 minutes. 6. Remove from pans and cool before frosting. |
