A light, sweet flavor with lots of crunchy nutrition. I love granola with yogurt, ice cream, baked apples, or simply with milk and fruit for brekky! This recipe uses applesauce to cut down on fat and calories, and molasses to reduce the cost – but it still tastes every bit as delicious! Ingredients:
6 cups rolled oats |
1 cup sliced almonds |
1/2 cup wheat germ |
1/2 cup unsweetened coconut |
1/4 cup sunflower seeds |
1 teaspoon ground ginger |
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg |
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves |
1/4 teaspoon ground allspice |
1/3 cup honey |
1/3 cup molasses |
1/3 cup olive oil |
1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce |
Directions:
1. Mix dry ingredients in large baking dish. 2. Add remaining ingredients and combine completely. 3. Bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees, stirring every 10 minutes. |
