crispy, saucy, fried cauliflower manchurians. Ingredients:
1 small cauliflower(cut into medium size pieces) |
2 cups all purpose flour(maida) |
1 cup corn flour |
1/2 tsp red chilli powder |
1/2 tsp salt |
1-2 pinch edible color(orange red) |
11/2 cup water |
1 white onion(finely chopped) |
1/2 tsp ginger garlic paste |
4 green chillies(slit) |
1/2 green pepper(sliced) |
5-6 cloves garlic(cut into thin slices) |
1-2 pinch sugar |
1/2 tsp pepper powder |
1 tsp dark soya sauce |
3 tsp tomato sauce |
coriander leaves(finely chopped) |
oil for deep frying |
salt to taste |
Directions:
1. Boil cauliflower in water with 1 tsp salt for 2 minutes. Drain water and dry cauliflower in paper towels. 2. Mix all purpose flour, corn flour, red chilli powder, color, salt with water to form a batter. 3. Dip cauliflower in the batter and deep fry for 10 minutes. 4. Heat a pan with 3 tsp oil. Add onion and fry till golden, add ginger garlic paste and saute for a minute. 5. Add garlic slices, green chilli, green pepper, pepper powder, sugar and fry for 2 minutes. 6. Add tomato sauce, lower the heat and fry for a minute. 7. Add dark soya sauce and fry fora minute. Add salt if needed. 8. Add coriander and mix well, finally add fried cauliflower and mix well. 9. Serve hot. |
